Our Mission
At Gen Z Talks we are aiming to provide young people from a diverse range of backgrounds with unique career development opportunities, to be able to land their dream job, whilst empower the working world with their new ideas, perspectives and entrepreneurial mindset that they offer.
We are bridging the gap between education and the world of work and Gen Z and other generations, through powerful intergenerational programs, including Hackathons, Reverse Mentoring, bootcamps and more.
We are also creating unique networking and career events and content which aims to increase the confidence in young people and close the skill gaps which were both affected as a result of the pandemic.
Who are GenZ?
Generation Z, or GenZ, is the latest generation that’s growing up and coming into the workplace – and they will keep coming for the next decade. Born between 1995 and 2010, GenZers are the first truly digitally native generation, having never lived in a time without the internet. And the signs are that they are going to revolutionise the way we live and work. Here is a selection of stats about GenZ:
GenZers are focused: 9 out of 10 GenZers start looking for work before graduation
GenZers are financially astute: Financial incentives is a driver for 59% of GenZers to learn new skills
GenZers are tech-aware: This generation understands that technology will change the way we work, with more than half believing their jobs will not exist in 20 years time
GenZers are entrepreneurial: Around 41% have plans to start their own businesses
GenZers are learners: The e-learning market is set to be worth 4 times as much as the higher education sector – driven by demand from GenZ.

Against the backdrop of the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic, this generation will face unprecedented challenges like no other has faced for decades. However, as the above statistics suggest, GenZ is already well-equipped to take on the odds and thrive as the long recovery gets underway. They are willing to make their own paths, have an eagerness to learn, and a presence of mind to be financially aware. Tech savvy, entrepreneurial, and resilient. GenZers are set to define their own future, whatever it throws at them.
